Bengaluru-based technology-focused mining services company Squadrone has become India’s first company to fly autonomous drones in the country’s underground mines. Squadrone has successfully carried out a proof of concept in the underground mines of Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (Vedanta) in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The company said the success of this project has proven that the application of drone-based Hovermap LiDAR technology will bring about a huge transformation in the way underground mines are mined in India and make a huge difference in the lives of every person. miner in India with increased safety, productivity and efficiency.
